Welcome

Over the past few months the 2009 IACAW committee has been hard at work organizing the events for the year. This newsletter contains a tentative schedule. The committee members are listed on the left, as of now we do not have any officers but instead we have decided to “rule by committee”. The committee is made up of many young energetic members and we have started to develop several new ideas to keep the association a vibrant organization. Our key theme for this year will be to focus on young families, we believe this is the only way for the association to grow and renew itself.

The 2009 committee has initiated several projects to help modernize our association. We have recruited the assistance of Saurabh Patel to revive our website and make it a focal point of our community. We have kicked off a project to refresh our membership list and to get past members to renew, Asha Patel and Rajesh Kapadia will be spearheading this initiative. We will be doing all our accounts electronically and making it easier to pass the accounts on to future committees, this effort will be led by Jay Bar and Daxesh Patel. Finally we are trying to refresh the look of our newsletters and flyers; Ami Nair has volunteered to assist us in this effort. The one thing all IACAW members can do to help is to give us your email addresses; this will save us the expense of mailing flyers and help us go green.
